I am working on not turning the kids down for things. When I'm in the kitchen I used to get, at most, two excited happy helpers, now I get 3-5. I used to pride myself on letting my kids help and they had indeed become HELPS and not something requiring my patience and supervision. That's a bit of a stretch for me now as that means a slew of chairs and benches being banged up to the counter with a fight about someone can't see and another cracked my egg. Plant watering is another special time when I get a whooping chorus of helpers. I like watering, I'm afraid these hoopdees are going to splash the dirt all over and drown the flowers and tomatoes.
Philippians 2: 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.I need to remember these verses first for myself so I can set an example for the wee Killys.
