Wee Forgiveness

Animals at the Zoo. We now take up the whole breadth of the walkway.

I am feeling great over here in kidville. The sweet times are increasing and the warm fuzzies are making their way into my heart. It's less "who are these strange kids?!" and more moments of them apologizing for throwing a fit and jumping in to help with chores or just being sweet and smiley. Mboy told me he loves me yesterday. That was his first time, it was after we got home from football practice which started this week and he is  LOVING it! Our Phoebe girl has been spending the week with my mom and taking 1 or 2 kids out of the bunch changes how they play and get along (during football practice I'm down to 3 kids and they get along famously--par-tee!) We've had a great week but I'm ready for my girl back.

I've had to nurse my own knees a bit from getting on them for some humble pie too. In a split second of losing my cool I spew out yuckiness. I don't wanna apologize but I know it's an opportunity. I can lead them by example and show that even the grown ups aren't perfect and  they sin too. They are quick to dole out forgiveness and run and squeeze my neck tight -who's being an example for who can get a bit blurry at times here. And the restoration and forgiveness part is sweeter than warm chocolaty brownies with ice cream and hot fudge.

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 4:32
