Good Morning Girls!

I just checked the Good Morning Girls website and found out I almost missed the excitement. There's a conference. The Women Living Well Conference will take place in August. I was drawn in by the "win 2 free tickets" opportunity. I lazily glanced over to see what fancy, far off (out of reach) big city they would be appearing in. Akron. Akron? yes, Akron! Wow, I don't think these things come to little old Ohio. And then I keep reading to find the "big" price tag? $48. Hmmm, not bad. Oh, wait (I keep reading) and Chick-Fil-A for lunch is included in the ticket cost! A-W-E-S-O-M-E. I want to go. Anyone else want a late summer pick-me-up before the scurry of school and regular routine make their annual appearance?

This past year several of the groups of Bible study friends I know have been encouraged by the idea of holding each other accountable for Bible reading and quiet time using our computers, phones, etc. I myself participate in a group that emails each day our reading time "checks." This has been a lovely blessing to me and I have been spurred on by members of the group asking where I'm at if I miss more than a day or two. I am also blessed by the things others share about what God is showing them. This idea came from a friend who came across the Good Morning Girls ministry. Check out their statement of belief page

Akron is certainly within reach. If you'd like to go, let me know, I'm really kinda geeked (means excited) about this. Whee!
