It's been used a lot in the last few months as our newbie kids experience what they perceive to be the most exciting things they've ever done. The things are silly little things too.
- One day I took them to McDonald's after school on a Friday and helped them each spend their gift card from grandma.
- At Christmastime I organized cookie baking letting each of them help with the various parts of it all (except maybe Mabel, but I'm hoping she's too little to remember that when she grows up!)
- When I brought home new big and thick gloves for the boys, I heard the sweet chorus.
- Another time was after they got all bundled up, plowed around in the snow with their new cold weather gear and I let them make hot chocolate when they came in. Of course it wasn't just any old hot chocolate, it was piled high with mini marshmallows, whipping cream, and sprinkles--too bad I didn't have any cherries!
- Buying them "new" clothes at Savers (on the half of day, of course.)
- The most memorable (maybe 'cuz I thought to snap pix) was on a Wednesday when school started 2 hours late. I let them each pack their own lunch. Seriously? Yup, that's it.
